Manually Installing SSL Certificates for Firefox

Use this procedure to install SSL certificates for use on Firefox. For information on how to install SSL certificates for use on IE or Chrome, see Manually Installing SSL Certificates for IE and Chrome.

Note: Firefox does not use the Windows Certificate Store.

To install SSL certificates for use on Firefox:

  • Go to the WSS Management Portal and click the Help tab, then select Downloads.

    • The Downloads page displays.

  • Download the Webrootcerts.zip by right-clicking Webroot SSL Certificates.

    • Note: The certificates can also be downloaded directly from: https://weblogin.webroot.com/resources/Webrootcerts.zip

  • Launch Firefox and open Settings.
  • Click the Options gear icon.

    • The Options window displays.

  • Click the Advanced gear icon.

    • The Advanced options display.

  • Click the Certificates tab.
  • Click the View Certificates button.
  • On the Authorities tab, select the two certificates from Webrootcerts.zip and click the Import button.
  • On the Authorities tab, scroll to the bottom of the sinwo on the to ensure that the two certificates display.
