These are the Management Portal options in Accounts > DWP Configuration.

Hide Icon in Tray | The DWP icon is not visible in the system tray. | Use only if you don't want the end user to know that the DWP is installed. | Optional | Optional |
List of caching proxies | A list of proxy names and port numbers of caching proxies at your gateway locations | Allows desktop users to transparently connect to caching proxies, and mobile users to connect to either caching proxies when on network or directly to the Web Security Service when roaming. | Optional | Optional |
Enable Automatic Configuration Script (PAC File) | The option to use a PAC file in addition to the core DWP functionality | Complex configurations that go beyond the configuration of the DWP can usually be solved with a PAC file. | Optional | Optional |
PAC File Location (URL or Local path) | If Enable Automatic Configuration Script (PAC File) is selected, this option identifies the location of the PAC file, either on the local network or at a URL-based location. | Complex configurations that go beyond the configuration of the DWP can usually be solved with a PAC file | Optional | Optional |
Monitor Port 80 and 443 Usage | Uploads data to the Monitors > Port Monitor tab of port 80- and 443-based applications running on the clients' computers. | Helps the admin to identify rogue applications that are using default web ports. | Optional | Optional |
Allow Unsafe Browsing | Allows users to bypass the Web Security Service if they cannot access the service; dependent on Hot Spot Management | For mobile users who must have access to the web, this provides a failsafe. The DWP will send all traffic directly to the internet if the Web Service cannot be contacted | Optional but required by some | Not needed |
Browser Bypass: Browser connects directly to the Internet | Populates the browser with URLs and IP addresses to connect directly to web sites, and not go through the Web Service. | Used for sites that need a direct connection with no traffic traversing the Web Service AND bypasses any proxies, which is needed for NTLM authentication and internal IP addresses. | Optional | Optional |
DWP Bypass: DWP connects directly to the Internet | Uses the DWP to do the same thing as the Bypass Service with Browser Settings option. | Used for sites that need a direct connection with no traffic traversing the Web Service. | Optional | Optional |
Proxy Address | Address of the Web Security data center. Do not change this setting. | On by default | Required | Required |
Proxy Port | Do not change the port. | On by default | Required | Required |
Apply portal settings to the DWP clients | All DWP clients in the Account will be configured as described in this screen when they connect to the service. If an option is unchecked, default settings are applied. | Can be used to delay the deployment of DWP settings or to prevent conflict with GPO settings. | Required | Required |
Activate DWP on Install | Settings are automatically applied to the users' browsers immediately after the DWP is installed. | On by default. Turn off only if a delay is needed between deployment and activation of the DWP. | Optional | Optional |
Enable Dynamic Hot Spot Management | Automatically handles hot-spot billing systems. Once billing is complete, the user is connected to the Web Security Service | On by default. Only needed for mobile users who travel, such as sales and executives. Home users do not require this. | Required by most | Not needed |
Use the IE setting 'Bypass proxy server for local addresses' | Selects the option in IE that sends all traffic to non-routable (RFC 1318) IP addresses. | Turn on; these IP addresses cannot be filtered by the service, and connections to them fail if they are not configured to bypass the service. | Optional | Optional |
Enable Automatic User Name Resolution | Synchronizes the Web Security Service and client user name and password for users within the corporate network | On by default. Rarely needed. May be turned off if the Windows login name and the user's email address are different. | Optional | Optional |
